got KICKED in the ASS

KICK ASS. Lent the DVD sometime ago, but just got the chance to watch it last nite, during a midnite-break working this so-called internal-magazine. Verdict : Definitely. Being. My. New. Favourite. I loooove the rudeness. The fighting scene. The awkwardness. The popular-culture hanging around it, the soundtrack, the scene's cut-to-cut, the satirical comedy, the comical mise-en-scene. Ah. And the weaponry. Lots of weaponry! So fun!

The character? They're all fit in. Aaron Johnson doing good, as a common teenager wanted to be a superhero, and represented himself as Kick-Ass. Plus, he got fine green eyes :D The villains are being bold too, Mark Strong and Christopher Mintz-Plasse : mogul-daddy and the spoiled-son. They're really got the thing. Oh speaking of daddy-kiddo thingy, the depiction of Big Daddy and Hit Girl is the most awesome of all. Picture this : Nicolas Cage called Chloe Grace Moretz -playing his 11 y.o daughter- 'baby doll' while shot her in chest to test the kevlar! Or or, giving her a butterfly knives as a birthday present. Gee, so odd, but somehow it's just sweet. Not to mention the almost final scene when *spoiler alert* Big Daddy's got killed. Ugh that's touching.

Extra kudos for Chloe Grace Moretz. This little girl is sooo adorable. She's playing Mindy a.k.a Hit Girl so cool. Wearing tartan skirt upon a leather suit. Purple wig, combat boots and filthy mouth. Choosing who's gonna be killed first by eenie-meenie. She's gonna be the next big thing, I suppose :)

To sum it up : I'm entertained. In an awkward way, but still, very very entertained. Makes me want to be a superhero, and kick some ass :D

Akhirnya majalahnya selesaiii *jogetjoget* Biar cuma 12 halaman, taskworking tahun ini lebih berat dari tahun-tahun kemarin, mulai dari sesi fotonya, editingnya sampai layoutnya. Maklum amatiran. Dan sangat terbantu karena dipinjemin laptopnya mas Daniel. One lesson learned : intel Atom tidak diciptakan untuk program grafis.
