DRAGON, sit! Roll!

Sedang agak malas menulis, yang ingin ditulispun sebenarnya basian berhari-hari yang lalu, tapi sungguh ingin berbagi : that HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON is a true relish.

Awalnya aku agak underestimate sama film animasi ini. Kupikir akan sama saja seperti Despicable Me. Banyak yg overrate, tapi ternyata bagiku gitu aja. Apparently this movie is a complete package when you need a relaxing moment. Lightweight but not shallow. I laughed so hard for most of the movie, my eyes lit up seeing scenes when Toothless fly with Hiccup thru the sky, my heart sank when Stoick the Vast set standards that are too high on his son, those comical faces of the dragons, tense aerial battle between Red Death -the gigantic dragon- and Toothless, from zero to hero formulae, the little burst of romanticism. It's just.. Complete.

And just like UP, semua karakter di film ini 'jelas', dan ngga ada yang terbuang sia-sia. Minute to minutenya rapat, setiap scenenya punya 'spark', that could hold my 4 y.o. sister sat still when she saw it another day. Sayang di Semarang, ngga ada satupun bioskop yang memutarnya dengan format 3D. Proyektor 3D-nya dipake The Last Airbender kali.

All in all, film yang diadaptasi dari buku ini membuatku sangat senang. Dan nyengirnya semakin lebar ketika credit title muncul dan aku mendengar suara yang familiar bernyanyi. It's Jonsi. Sigur Ros' Jonsi. Wah, jeli aja nih music directornya, karena buat aku lagunya jadi sangat pas capturing nuansa Viking film ini. Because everytime I hear his voice, I couldn't help not to think about thin layer of ice, avalanche and aurora :D

Now, Dila over and out. Have a kickin weekend folks.
